Free Songwriting Workshop

Lennon & McCartney, Diane Warren, David Foster and Prince are just a few of the great hit songwriters … But what makes them tick? What exactly does it take to write a great song? Join us for a 90 minute class which will discuss the crucial components required to write a great tune. Course will include sections on melody, chord progressions, lyrics and writing hooks. Bring pen and paper and your song ideas if you wish to share.
Class participation is encouraged, and we will use student suggestions to write portions of a new song during the class.
Join us Thursday, April 19th @ 7:00pm at the MELROSE location at Hollywood Academy of Music and Arts. Class will be taught by school director Kirk Nebel, who has written and released four independent CDs. No RSVP necessary – Drop ins are OK!
